| Environmental preservation and pollution
prevention are issues of great importance
to Bando, and we have taken affirmative steps
to promote environmentally-friendly product
development. In June 2000, Bando completed
ISO 14001 Certification at all of its Japanese
business sites. Some of our environmental
preservation themes include industrial waste
reduction and zero emissions (with a goal
to eliminate landfill disposal) and effective
energy utilization (reduction of carbon dioxide
emissions from materials which contribute
to global warming). We will continue to contribute
to environmental preservation by offering
products and services incorporating these
types of activities. |
